About the Journal

Medox Journal of Public Health (MJPH) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal that provides a high-quality peer review process for original research articles, review articles, short communications, and case reports in all areas of public health and related disciplines. The journal provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and academics to disseminate evidence-based findings that contribute to improved population health outcomes locally and globally. Submissions are accepted in the English language only and must be written in clear, concise, and academically appropriate English to facilitate efficient peer review, editorial processing, and global dissemination of research findings.

The journal currently does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC), as it is committed to promoting accessible and equitable scholarly publishing for all authors. MJPH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and scientific quality through a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. The editorial team strives to provide timely and constructive feedback, with an initial review decision typically communicated within 7 days of submission and the final decision completed within a maximum of 56 days (8 weeks) from submission. Publication Frequency of the journal is Biannual, with continuous online publication. That means, the journal publishes two issues per year while accepted articles are made available online immediately after final approval. Issue 1 will continuously publish manuscript accepted from January – June, and Issue 2 from July – December.

The journal welcomes contributions addressing key public health areas including but not limited to Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Environmental and Occupational Health, Health Systems and Policy Analysis, Community and Global Health, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health, Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Education and Behavioral Sciences, Clinical and Translational Public Health Research, Digital Health and Health Innovation.

Medox Journal of Public Health is the official publication of Medox Healthcare and Research Centre Limited, Tanzania.
